Communicative Activities

Communicative activities that get students speaking and using the target language are an essential part of teaching English as a second language. Below are some of examples of the different types of communicative activities we produce including class mingle activities, communicative board games, and card based activities.

Class Mingle Activities

Get your students up and out of their seats and get them moving around the class mingling with other students, and speaking English! From the classic ‘Find Someone Who…?’ activities, to surveys, mill drills and more. These are essential communicative activities for the language classroom.  For a new take on ‘Find Someone Who…?’ why not try one of our ‘Classmate BINGO!’ activities?

Communicative Board Games

Everyone loves board games, right? So why not liven up your grammar lesson with a communicative board game that will get your students speaking and using the target language. They will have so much fun, they may even forget they are practicing using grammar. There’s a reason communicativeboard games are one of ESL teachers’ favourite resources.
